THE STORY

PROBLEM:

For this styling project, titled "Wasteland," the goal was to envision and execute a photoshoot that forecasted upcoming fashion trends. The objective was to predict and showcase emerging aesthetics with an emphasis on materials and cultural movements likely to shape fashion in the coming years.

SOLUTION:

I directed and styled the "Wasteland" shoot, leveraging trend forecasting techniques to highlight the rise of the grungy-cool girl aesthetic. By combining mixed media and unconventional fabrics, I crafted a look that blends edge with innovation. Additionally, I predicted the mainstream proliferation of drag culture, incorporating exaggerated stripper heels and bold bodysuits to reflect this cultural influence. This creative direction not only captures a future-forward fashion narrative but also pushes boundaries by merging street style with avant-garde design elements.
